Unveiling the allure of the world’s most stunning destinations is no easy feat. As we indulge in our morning coffee, the envy-inducing Instagram posts from the influencers we follow take us on a visual journey to breathtaking new locations. Millennials have embraced the role of influencers, immersing themselves in picturesque cities, captivating beaches, serene countrysides, and awe-inspiring landscapes. And let’s not forget the fashion statements they make.

While our green-eyed jealousy flares up, we can’t help but love these Instagrammers for sharing their stories and images, providing us with glimpses into unexplored territories and igniting our wanderlust. We’ve embarked on creating our bucket lists, but with a plethora of exquisite places awaiting exploration, narrowing down our choices becomes an arduous task.

Recently, Forbes engaged with Beautiful Destinations, the preeminent travel and lifestyle community across social media. Leveraging their data mining tools, they undertook the ambitious mission of ranking the most magnificent places on Earth. By analyzing location tags and hashtags, they meticulously curated their list. While we concurred with some of their choices, we also felt that certain pivotal cities were overlooked. Consequently, we conducted our own research, considering the most geotagged locations in Insta-stories and the extensively hashtagged places. Moreover, we awarded bonus points to those elusive gems that demand extra effort to reach. On the flip side, we omitted those spots that might be popular but lack true beauty (we’re looking at you, Los Angeles). Thus, after meticulous deliberation, we proudly present our personal compilation.
